Prior to forming Hatch, Mr. Murchison served as Chief Financial Officer at Venado Oil & Gas, LLC acquiring $1.6 Bn of Eagle Ford assets during his time there. Prior to that, he served as a Managing Director and Head of E&P Advisory at Raymond James. He began his career at Southwest Bank of Texas and BNP Paribas in their energy lending group. Mr. Murchison graduated from University of Texas with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree (1999) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas (2005).
Andy Yarotsky is the Vice President of Reservoir Engineering at Hatch. Andy brings the "operator mindset" to each potential acquisition Hatch reviews from his prior big company experience. Prior to Hatch, Mr. Yarotsky served as Reservoir Engineering Manager in the Permian Basin group at BHP Petroleum and was responsible for field delineation, development optimization and reserves estimation. Prior to BHP Petroleum, Mr. Yarotsky was as a Reservoir Engineer at ExxonMobil. Mr. Yarotsky holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin (2009). He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
Paul Fears is the Vice President of Geology at Hatch. Paul has in-depth operational and exploration geology experience from earlier on in his career that he uses to find the areas Hatch should target for investment. Prior to Hatch, Mr. Fears served as Senior Explorationist as the lead A&D geologist at Carrizo Oil and Gas in the Permian Basin resulting in over $850 MM of acquisitions. Prior to Carrizo, Mr. Fears was an operations geologist at Southwestern Energy Company. Mr. Fears holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Geology from Northern Arizona University (2009) and graduated from the University of Houston with a Master of Science degree focused on Petroleum Geology (2018).
Jordan Vincent is the Vice President of Finance at Hatch Resources and Hatch Renewables. Jordan is involved in all aspects of Hatch's investment and operational strategies and brings nearly a decade of experience in natural resources and sustainable infrastructure investments. Prior to Hatch, Mr. Vincent worked at Equilibrium Capital, a firm with over $1.5 Bn raised for private equity investments in sustainable agriculture, and helped the team complete its first international growth equity investment platform in Australia. Mr. Vincent was also involved in the execution of over two dozen energy and resources transactions while serving as a Senior Associate on the investment team of Lime Rock Resources and as an Analyst on the investment banking team of Petrie Partners. Mr. Vincent began his career at BP and holds Bachelor's degrees from the Engineering Route to Business and the Business Honors Programs at the University of Texas at Austin (2012), and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University (2019).
Heath Thompson is the Vice President of Land at Hatch where he oversees the land group including title verification and business development efforts. Prior to Hatch, Mr. Thompson served in various Land and Leadership capacities at Brigham Exploration, Statoil and Equinor. His upstream expertise includes organic asset growth, stakeholder management, field development, creation and integration of systems and processes, as well as project management. Mr. Thompson holds a CPL certification and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Management with Honors from The University of Oklahoma.
Ann Langdon serves as Controller at Hatch where she heads up accounting and treasury. Prior to joining Hatch, Mrs. Langdon was a Manager in the Financial Advisory Services practice at Riveron, a business advisory firm, where she specialized in technical accounting and capital markets transactions for energy companies. Prior to that, she was a Manager in the Audit Services practice at Grant Thornton LLP, an international audit, tax and advisory firm, where she oversaw the audits of public and private oil and gas companies. Mrs. Langdon received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Trinity University (2011) and a Master of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University (2012). Mrs. Langdon is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.
Adam Harsch is a Finance Associate at Hatch Resources and Hatch Renewables where he is actively involved in all aspects of Hatch's investment and operational strategies. Prior to joining Hatch, Mr. Harsch was an Investment Banking Associate at KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc., where he supported the execution of various M&A advisory and capital markets transactions for clients primarily in the exploration and production sector of the oil and gas industry. Mr. Harsch holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University (2018).
Clayton Rippstein is a Land Administration Manager at Hatch where he contributes to title verification, contract negotiation, DO, GIS and maintains Hatch's land system. Prior to Hatch, Mr. Rippstein served in Landman positions at Remora Petroleum, Balidor Oil & Gas, and Penn Virginia Corporation. In his prior roles, he has gained multi basin experience across the Permian, Eagle Ford, Powder River Basin, and more. Mr. Rippstein holds an RPL and CPLTA designation and graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Geography and a Minor in Business.
Prior to joining Hatch, Meagan was with Three Rivers Operating Company. She was with the company during all three iterations (3ROC I, II, and III) helping with the acquisitions and divestitures of each asset which totaled around 380,000 net acres. With over 13 years of oil and gas experience across the public and private sectors, she has had her hands in all aspects of the land department from division orders, mineral title research and diligence, and rig schedule planning and execution. She began her career at BP America after receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from Texas State University in 2008.
Katharine Hubbard joined Hatch as a Mineral Analyst, where she is actively involved in the vetting and evaluation of investment opportunities.
A Midland, Texas native, Katharine comes from four generations of ranching and oil and gas endeavors in the Permian Basin, bringing with her a multidisciplinary understanding of the area and the opportunities it creates.
Prior to Hatch, Ms. Hubbard worked for Brigham Minerals until the closing of its $4.8 Bn merger with Sitio Royalties, serving on both the land and exploration teams. During her time at Brigham Minerals, she primarily focused on the evaluation of highly accretive acquisitions in the Midland and Williston basins, generating meaningful returns to the company and its shareholders.
Ms. Hubbard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin (2017) and a Master of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Concentration in Energy from Texas Tech University (2021).
Prior to joining Hatch, Mr. Becan was a reservoir engineer for the Midland Basin North team at ConocoPhillips, previously Concho Resources, where he was actively involved in asset development, reserves management, exploration, and non-operated project evaluation. Mr. Becan holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University (2019).
Rachel Walker is a Land Tech and Office Administrator at Hatch. Rachel's key focus is drafting, organizing, and maintaining documentation for the Land and Accounting departments. With prior Permian experience, Rachel assists in the evaluation of potential acquisitions and business development opportunities. Ms. Walker is a recent graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, where she obtained her Bachelor of Liberal Arts. She is an active member of the American Association of Professional Landmen.
Hatch Resources ("Hatch"), a newly formed oil and gas exploration and production company based in Austin, TX, and Ridgemont Equity Partners, a middle market buyout and growth equity firm, today announced a partnership to pursue the acquisition of oil and gas assets in the Permian Basin. Hatch was formed by a senior team with extensive sub-surface, land and business development experience in the Permian Basin.
